Five touring comedians play a single Montgomery Comedy Festival show at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre on Friday, October 23, with doors at 8 p.m. Headliner Sheryl Underwood, the longtime co-host of CBS's The Talk, shares the bill with Lavell Crawford, Don "DC" Curry, Tony Rock and Adele Givens.
Tickets run $59 to $99 plus fees through Ticketmaster, and the venue warns it only honors tickets bought directly there, not through resale sites. MPAC is a cashless venue at 201 Tallapoosa Street downtown, and doors typically open about an hour before showtime.
For a Montgomery audience, a five-comedian lineup under one ticket is an unusual draw this fall. Readers can buy tickets or check details through the official event page or call the box office at (334) 481-5100. Confirm accessibility needs or group seating directly with the venue before buying. Montgomery gets a Saturday night built around street food on October 24, when the Fall Food Truck Festival sets up in the parking lot at Patterson Field, 1255 Madison Avenue. Event listings put the festival from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The evening is billed as family-friendly, with food trucks, non-food vendors and live music from a band and a DJ. One listing describes admission as free, with each vendor setting its own prices for food and goods. A vendor lineup had not been published in the listings available at press time. Because the festival is held outdoors in a parking lot, dress for an October evening.
The event appears on the City of Montgomery's events calendar and in the Experience Montgomery listing. Because the details come from listings rather than an organizer announcement, confirm the schedule, admission and parking before heading out, and double-check the Madison Avenue address.
